Oh, look! An update!
Oh hi. I'm not sure what has happened to me. The 'I must update this every week' person has been replaced by the 'Eh, I'll get to it when I can' person, and that has what led to the demise of the baby blog. Oh well. Such is life, eh?
So, what has happened since I last updated?
Jack plays soccer now! He hated it, wanted to quit and was not really good when it first started. He's now getting the hang of it and wants to play more, so he'll probably play in the fall, as well. It's been fun watching him play. Thank, bud. You've made me an official soccer Mom.
Emma is in speech therapy these days. She's starting to say things correctly, which means the Emma accent that we all know and love is fading. *sigh* She's been having some 'mean girl' issues in school and on the bus and it's been rough, but she's a smart cookie and she's working through it.
Sara had her pre-k assessment. Apparently, the school district has decided to only run full day pre-k. All day, every day. I have VERY mixed feelings about it, but I still registered her. She needs 'something' and since private pre-k is out of the question, this is it. If she hates it, I'll just pull her out. That's just how it's going to have to be. Also, age 3 almost 4 SUCKS. Take my word for it.
Alex, sweet Alex. I feel like I've made progress with getting through to him on a daily basis. I've really had to alter the way I do things. This doesn't mean that he's calmed down any, it just means I've learned how to pick my battles and how to talk to him to get through to him. He's so cute, though, and I just love his devilish grin.
School will be over next month, and we're starting to think about summer plans. I'm not sure that we'll do an actual vacation (who the heck really has the money) but we'll probably do a few day trips here and there. Of course, we'll do weekly park day, as we've done over the past few years. It's good for the kids and for the Moms!
I'll do a picture post over the next couple of days. I have so many pictures from the phone that need to be shared!
