The Girls
Emma and Sara had their well visits today. It turned out to be a 'not-so' well visit.
Sara is currently taking meds for her 3rd ear infection in 8 weeks. She has been sounding so much worse than she has been, I was actually thankful that we had an appointment scheduled for today. The Dr. checked her out and asked me a few questions, and then told me that Sara has wheezing in her lungs. Great. So, they gave her a breathing treatment at the office, and sent us home with a nebulizer so I can continue the treatments here. I won't lie, my heart breaks for her. She sounds awful! I'm hopeful that she kicks the illness soon, because I'm tired of it. I'm tired of hearing her hack up a lung all night, every night.
My poor baby girl.
Anyway, here are their stats:
Emma- She is 30.6 pounds (50%) and 38 inches tall (70%). She had her hearing checked, and contrary to what it may seem like around here, her hearing is perfect. She did not get another vision test, since she's under the care of a pediatric opthamologist. She did SO well, a far cry from the child who screamed and needed to be held down just six months ago. She had her flu vaccine booster (the nasal mist) and took it like a champ. I still can't believe she's three. Anyway.
Sara-Sara is 22 pounds, 12 ounces with is greater than the 97th percentile. Also, she's 27.5 inches tall, which is also greater than the 97th percentile. She checked out wonderfully, as well. I will note her 6 month milestones in another entry. Basically, my 6 month old is the size of a 10 month old. (I'm going to go back to see what Jack and Emma were at 6 months.) She didn't get shots today, due to her being sick, so we will have to go back next week to have those done.
So, it was an eventful trip to the doctor. The girls were well behaved, though, which made me so proud!
