Sara-10 months
Ugh! 10 months!! It's just not fair! I just wish I could slow time down, just a bit, so I can just have more time to enjoy the wonder that is Miss Sara Grace.
- Sara is still in 12-18 month clothes and still in size 5 diapers. These sizes are the sizes she's stayed in the longest since she was born.
- She's still not crawling. I see her trying and she just can't get the hang of it. Whatever, I'm not concerned and I'm trying really hard not to compare her to the other two.
- Sleep has been SUCH an issue for about a month. There is constant waking up and screaming. I'm not a big fan of letting her cry it out, especially with the other two in the room, so she winds up in my bed quite often. It's those nights that I do not sleep at all, since she's the worlds most violent sleeper and beats me up all night. Also, I'm scared that I'm going to roll over and squish her. I contend that I got more sleep when she was a newborn.
- Still only 2 teeth, but I see 1, maybe 2 more trying to come in. This could explain the statement prior to this one.
- She's eating all solids now. No more mush, no more baby cereal. It's all finger foods. No meat, or eggs, or dairy yet, but she's into veggies (corn, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes) and fruit (blueberries, pears, apples) and wheat bread. She loves Puffs and Cheerios, as well.
- She's getting 24 ounces of formula a day. She's also now drinking approximately one sippy cup of water a day. Girl loves her some water.
- She claps, and 'sings' and dances. She says, "YAY", and "Hi" and "Dadadadada", and I SWEAR I heard "Jack" once. She also knows that Sara is "SO BIG".
- She waves hello and goodbye. Sometimes it looks normal, and sometimes it looks like she's raising her hand at you.
- She loves to stand, and just today took some steps while I was holding her hands. She also is finally getting the hang of her walker.
- Her Daddy is still her favorite person, and I would say that feeling is mutual. They light up when they see each other.
I don't know, Sara. You've really managed to change us all. Jack and Emma go gaga over you. Daddy lights up when he sees you. I just want to hold you always. You light up this house with that warm smile. It's been such a pleasure watching you grow and change and I really can't remember life without you. It just seems like you've always been here.
I love you, Gracie. Our "Bubba" (as Jack calls you).
