Sara will be 21 months old tomorrow. Digest that for a minute. I'm starting to plan her 2nd birthday. I can't, I just can't handle it. My baby girl is growing so quickly. One hand, it's so great to see her personality continue to grow, and change. But, on the other hand, it's just going by so quickly, I just don't feel like I get to absorb all of it. Oh well, I can complain all I want, it's not going to change anything.
It's been a while since I've done a Sara update, so here we go!
- She weighs 26 pounds.
- She's grown height wise, as well. I will get that measurement tomorrow.
- She's still in size 2T/24 month. She will wear the occasional 3T shirt of Emma's, if it's one of those shirts that has been washed a dried a lot.
- She's given up her morning nap (although she randomly took one today..weird) and now naps for about 3 hours in the afternoon.
- Bedtime has been easier, and she's not waking up in the middle of the night crying much anymore.
- Her vocabulary is exploding. She does talk in Sara-Speak, so you may not understand her, but do, and she just says so much. She's also starting to string words together. For example, "Hi Dada", "Where Jack?", "I see you!".
- Her appetite sucks. She is very picky and most of her meals end up on the floor.
- She still thinks Jack is the cat's meow. Those two are best friends.
- She is the sparkle in her Daddy's eye, that is for sure. He is the president of the Sara appreciation society. And she is the president of his. It's adorable, that's for sure.
- She asks to go on the potty every day. There have been a few times that she has gone, and I thought for sure that we'd be potty trained by 2, but she's stopped. It's okay, I would never push it, or force it on her. It's her call. But it is adorable to see her sitting there.
- She loves Blue's Clues, The Fresh Beat Band, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
- She LOVES to dance. And jump. And bounce. She keeps me on my toes, that's for sure.
- I tried to get her to take a nap in her toddler bed...and she laid down, but it was all downhill after that. I guess she's not ready! I'm secretly happy about this. Babies belong in cribs, and she's still a baby, damn it!
- She's still hopelessly attached to her pacifier, or "ginky", as she calls it. Taking that away is going to be hell. I dread the day. She has until she's two.
- So, her left foot is bigger than her right foot. I think I'm going to have to buy two different sized shoes! Is this normal? It's weird, that's for sure.
So, that is it for now. My baby girl. She will ALWAYS be my baby girl! Even when she's 30. Sara, I love you and your Sassy ways. You brighten up a room when you enter it...the same way you brightened up our lives when you entered them. I love you SO much, my third little bird.
