Some goings on

It's been a little hectic here in the B household.

Today we received the amazing news that Al's food allergies are decreasing in severity.  He had his allergy bloodwork and all allergies are down a point.  This is AMAZING news.  I'm so thrilled.  I'm hoping that this will continue and soon he'll be allergy free!  We now how to follow up with an allergy skin test, just to verify the blood test results.

We had conferences for Emma and Jack last week.  Emma is doing WONDERFULLY.  The teacher actually says that's she's the model student.  To say that I'm completely amazed that a child that came from my body is a model student is an understatement.  I'm so proud of her.  Jack is working through all of the trouble he had earlier in the school year and he's doing MUCH, MUCH better.  I'm so proud of him for all of his hard work.  2nd grade has been really rough on him (us) and I'm just so happy that things are getting easier for him.

As we speak, Greg is ripping apart our main bathroom.  Well, he's actually in the 'putting it back together' phase.  I can't wait until it's finished.  I'm taking progress pictures and I'll try to post them here so you can see the before and after.

I take roughly 9,000 pictures a day on my phone and one of these days I'll get them all up over here.  It's so hard to carve out a big enough chunk of time to sit and actually do a proper update.  Maybe come September, when Sass is in preschool, I'll get into a better habit of updating.  Ugh, September sounds so far away, but we all know that it will be here before we know it.

I guess the biggest thing that has happened in our life as of recent times is the death of my Mom-Mom.  I'm not really sure what to write.  I don't even think I ever wrote about the death of my Pop, who died almost a year ago.  I'm just not sure sure how to say what I want to say.  I can say that we miss them both so much.  Jack and Emma went to the services for Mom-Mom and they did wonderfully.  I was worried about how they would be, but true to form, they pleasantly surprised me.  Good job, kiddos.

Well, I guess that's it for now.  We are anxiously anticipating the arrival of SPRING.  I'm SO OVER the cold and the snow.  I'm ready for warmer days, flowers to bloom (and the subsequent allergies that I'll be complaining about in no time), and for the kids to play outside.  Winter seems so long when you're all cooped up inside!
