Sara is...FOURTEEN?!

There are things in life that make me cuckoo. My kids growing up is one of them. I mean, I love the people that they are growing into, dont get me wrong. But, I'd give anything just to have them little just for one day more.

But, as life would have it, that's not realistic so here I am writing about my youngest daughter turning 14.

Sara Grace with the Pretty Face. Sass. My little best friend. Where do I even begin?

You came into our lives during a really trying time for the family. Your Uncle was battling cancer and boy, were times rough. In the darkness of his battle, you became our light, our hope. Our Grace. You were the happy to the sad, the good to the bad. You made us smile through the tears. You did that.

You still are my Grace. You get me like no other. I never knew I needed a Sara in my life until I had you and boom, you changed my world forever.

The teenage years have been difficult for you. Middle school has been an ongoing nightmare and I know that you cant wait for it to be over. You've handled yourself through crappy situations with poise and, well, grace...you've made the best of the situation and you've come out on top with lessons learned and real, true friends who have proven themselves. I hope yoy know how proud I am of you always.

You've struggled in other ways, too.  Big battles have gone down since this time last year.  You're a fighter. You're strong. And I hope someday, you believe those words.

Sara, Sassy, GraceFace...I love you more than you'll ever know. Thank you for being my daughter. Thank you for your contagious laugh and beautiful smile. Thank you for tiktoking with me and for squealing over BTS by my side. Thank you for being you.

I love you too much madly.
