So, we left Georgia and made our way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We had been there once before, when Jack was 3 months old. Looking back, it was SO easy with one kid, even though we thought it was difficult. HA!
Anyway, we wanted to use a hotel voucher that we had, and decided to do it in South Carolina, so we could be at the beach for Jack's birthday. I wish our stay was longer, but after much hemming and hawing and changing details, we decided to only stay the night and leave after breakfast the next day.

My lame pano of the beach |
After the beach, we went back to the hotel. Greg took The Bigs to the pool, while I got The Littles settled into bed. When Jack got back to the room, I took a couple of quick birthday eve pics.

My biggest boy |

I love him too much |
The next morning when we went down to breakfast, Jack told everyone that it was his birthday. So, the servers brought him out a piece of key lime pie and sang happy birthday to him. It was adorable...and I was in the bathroom with Sara and I missed it. Story of my life. We left our hotel right after breakfast. I feel bad that we were in the car for most of Jack's birthday, but he didn't seem to mind much.

Bye hotel. Bye South Caroline. I hope to see you again! |
We contemplated stopping again, but on the way home, we got the call about Alex's surgery. We knew that if we didn't get home soon, we wouldn't have enough time to get unpacked and prepare for his big day. It was unfortunate that we didn't make it to our last stop in LBI, but it was for the best.
So, our first family (of 6) vacation is in the books. I wish we had more time just to sit and relax, but it just didn't work out that way for us. I look forward to many, many more vacations with my family as they grow.
