No Sleep+Walking= Oh so TIRED
So, I posted recently about Sara's craptacular sleeping habits. A couple of people, including the doctor, had mentioned that maybe it's due to her learning how to walk. At this point, I'll believe anything. I'm looking for an answer, looking for something to blame. But, in thinking back throughout my Mommy years, I do recall my kids getting feisty as they would learn something new. Never to this extent, but I do recall there being some sort of disruption.
I will say that I know my lack of patience with the situation, and not being as firm as I would normally be (I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and damn tired) and giving up and bringing her into our bed in the middle of the night, has perpetuated the problem. I will also say that I've been tweaking with things here and there to try and figure out how to fix the issue. Cut out the milk, let her cry for a bit, etc. Last night was a success. I will also say that yesterday was the first time in a while that she took 2 longer naps during the day, like she had been before this mess started. Coincidence? So, I'm hopeful. Very, very hopeful.
She's made progress on the walking front. She walks way better barefoot than she does with her sneakers. I think the farthest she's walked, completely unassisted, is from the middle of our living room to me, on the couch. About 6-7 steps. She has yet to string those 6-7 steps with another 6-7 steps, but, it is what it is...Baby Steps.
I never thought it could take a baby this long to learn how to walk, but I have to follow my own advice when I say "be patient, each baby is different". I'd give her another month or so, and I'm certain she will be a full-fledged walker. I'm so proud of her progress, though, and it's so much fun to watch her get so excited over the steps she's taking. She's just so proud of herself.!

Here's the Sass standing. It still catches me off guard and makes me chuckle when I see it.
