Alex- One Month Old

So, somehow the Young Squire is a month old, already.  I hate it.  I took him today for his one month well-baby check up and here are his stats.

Yes, that says 12.6 pounds.  Are ya freaking kidding me???  That's a gain of nearly 3 pounds in 3 weeks.  Also, he's grown nearly 3 inches in the same span of time.  Hello HUGE BABY!!  I LOVE it.

Here is what Al is doing these days:

  • He's starting to smile on a daily basis.
  • He's also starting to coo.  One night he's cooed so loud, he scared himself.  It was great.
  • He sleeps 7 hours at night.  Nevermind that those 7 hours are usually from 9-4.  Mommy's tired these days.
  • He's eats up to 32 ounces a day.  Yup.  32.  *shakes head*  They ALL ate this much at this time, you would think I would be used to it.
  • He naps on an off all day.  He loves to be in his swing, and naps in there often.
  • He's in 0-3 month clothes, size 1 diapers.
  • He's shaping up to be a "binky baby" as he loves his pacifier.  However, he fights it initially, so I'm really unsure as to he will turn out.  Jack was, and Sara is; Emma was not.  So, we shall see.
He was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia.  Nothing can be done, and they aren't painful, so it's something that will just correct itself as he gets older.  But, other than that, he's awesome, healthy, with no issues!

On his one month birthday, 1/24, I did a one month photoshoot.  I had everything all set up, and was ready to take pics...and my camera battery was deader than a doornail.  So, I had to take pics with my phone.  Oh well, such is life.

My beautiful one month old

This is Al and Ali, that alligator that Jack gave to him.

I love this baby

Tongue!!

Love you, Al.  You are the perfect addition to this crazy, wild, amazing family that I'm lucky enough to call MINE ALL MINE.
