Sara-6 months
Okay, really? 6 months? Wasn't it just June? Sunny, and warm, and weren't you just born? I can't believe time is flying by so quickly.
Here's what Sara is up to these days:
Here's what Sara is up to these days:
- She wears size 5 (yes, 5) diapers now
- She wears 6-12 month clothing. Leggings and stretchy pants only, though, for jeans and any other button down pants will NOT fit past her hips, thighs and butt.
- She is trying to crawl. It's so funny to watch her. She ends up going either in a circle, or backwards.
- She still does not roll over, however, she tries really hard.
- She sits up so well. She loves to sit. And stand. Boy, does she LOVE to stand.
- She also likes to dance! Hold her in a standing position, and she bops up and down.
- She's so incredibly happy, all of the time.
- She's an incredibly easy baby to handle day to day.
- Sleeps like a champ, still.
- Despite her appearance, she really doesn't eat all that outrageously. She get 28-30 ounces of formula a day. Also, she gets cereal in the morning and fruits and veggies at dinner time. I've been making her baby food, and let me tell you, if I would have known how easy it was, I would have done it for all 3 of them. Anyway, she loves butternut squash, and sweet potatoes. She prefers fruit, though, bananas are her favorite, and she's starting to really like applesauce.
- If you ask her for a kiss, she opens her mouth up SO wide and sucks on your face!
- Her brother and sister make her laugh so much. She adores them.
- She loves to reach out and tries to touch everything.
- Her naps suck. She won't really take a nap unless someone is holding her.
- She very obviously loves all of us in this house, but her face lights up the brightest when she sees her Daddy.
- She's very vocal. Lots of "oooooh" and "coooo" and "Da"...and I swear I've heard at least one "Ma"...but I may or may not be imagining that.
All in all, she's a delight. I can't say enough that she is the happiest baby I've ever seen. Jack and Emma were not grumpy babies at all, but this child is just so happy all of the time, it's just so awesome. She is just so awesome. Gosh, I love my family.

It amazes me how different siblings can be from each other.
ReplyDeleteSize 5 diapers! Amazing. That's what Emilie is in. I often wonder, if I have another, if he or she would be the total opposite of Emilie body-wise.
I guess because I was so set on making baby food from the start, I never gave it a second thought. But a lot of people seem very overwhelmed or intimidated at the thought of making it. Emilie adored (and still adores) mashed avocado probably best of all at six months old. When I tell people that, most of them say that they never thought of giving a baby mashed avocado!
I made baby food too and found it super easy too!
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to see Sara soon! ;)
