The 4th of July

We had no plans for the 4th of July, but when our favorite neighbors invited to a parade in a neighboring town, we decided to give it a go.

It was a super hot day, and this pregnant lady was feeling sick to begin with, so the heat only made it worse. We didn't stay for the whole thing, but from what we saw, it was an awesome parade.  As the people went by on the parade route, they threw candy for the kids to get.  This, of course, was the favorite part of the parade (for me, to...I loves me some Tootsie Rolls!!).

Here are a few shots from the parade:

Sara Grace is ready for her second 4th of July.

Daddy took Jack and Emma to see the water.

Miss Ash

Jackaboo is always ready to pose for a picture.  I have him trained VERY well.

While waiting for the parade to start, I took a few scenic shots

Ash and Sara were having a heart to heart

The parade began!

Cool old car

Em plugging her ears

Awesome old firetruck

Jack and his pink pom poms.  His Daddy will LOVE this picture, for sure.

Waiting for more candy

The Fire "Quackers"...get it "quackers"?

It was right after the Quackers, that I had to leave.  The rest of the day was spent lounging around, and at the pool.  We let the kids stay up late this night, to play outside with glowsticks.  They had such a blast!!

See you next 4th of July!!
