Alex is here!
Yup, totally blogging on Christmas Day, from the hospital. This is where time seems to slow down a bit. You have your rush of surgery, having the baby, seeing the baby...the annoyance of the first 24 hours after surgery, being poked and prodded, and woken up at weird hours of the night...the first few steps after surgery (just did this, it's my least favorite part), and now? I'm just sitting here. Waiting. Not sure for what. They will bring my baby boy in soon. I haven't held him yet, haven't really seen him much, to be honest. It took a long time for my spinal to wear off this time. Don't feel sorry for him, though. He got plenty of loving in a first few hours on this earth. His mom-mom and pop-pop were here, as were his Uncle Joe and Aunt Laur. Nurse Mento stopped by before her shift. Grandpa made the trip down, along with his Uncle Dennis. His Daddy and his siblings stopped by...the 3 were in awe...I'm not sure though if it was because they liked my room, or him. So, there was no lack of love. I can't wait to get my hands on him, though. Can't. Wait. I'd like to thank those of you took the time to come see him. It was so last minute, so I appreciate it.
So, maybe you're wondering what happened and why, after such meticulous planning, he's here already. Of course, there's a story. I think it's best that I wait to write it out when I get home. I know, way to keep you hanging. Looking back on it, whereas it's not quite funny yet, I could see how it could be.
The true point of this post is really to say Merry Christmas. Hug your families tight. I can't wait to see my 3, and celebrate Christmas with them. This probably won't happen until Thursday, maybe Friday, but it's worth the wait.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!!
