Looking back and moving forward

I have so many pictures on my camera that need to edited and posted here.  However, for the sake of saving a lot of time and effort and in order to catch up, I'm just going to post unedited pictures (much to my OCD's chagrin).

So, my first post will be about saying goodbye to The Almond.  I've already posted from our new home, but I can't let our 'goodbye' to the home that has been our everything for the past 3 years go unnoticed.

We went back the Sunday after we moved to do a final walk-through, and to say goodbye.  We let the kids run around one last time, and we went through the house recalling the memories that came flooding back.  I cried.  A lot.  A whole lot.  I never thought I'd be so emotionally attached to a house.  To a neighborhood.  But, I can't help it.  Almond was there when we needed it to be (the story as to why we moved to Almond in the first place has been posted earlier) and now we were leaving.  If we weren't busting at the seams, we would still be there.

So I leave you with a few pictures, the kids final " Almond photo shoot", if you will...

Running around the empty house

On the windowsill for the final time

On the front porch

Goodbye Almond...Thanks for everything.
