Mid-Summer Report
So, it's August. July FLEW by SO quickly! So we have all of August left and the first week of September before Jack goes back to school, and Emma enters the world of school days.
It's not been as scary bad as I thought it would be, home with the four. I guess I do that. I doubt myself SO MUCH and I get it stuck in my head that things will be a certain way and when they aren't? I'm surprised, but not really. I don't know if that makes as much sense to you as it does to me.
Each Monday has been devoted to a different park in the area. The Park Tour was something I came up with to A) get us out of the house every week B) allow the kids to play with friends and C) allow Mommy to 'play' with her friends, too. It's been a success. We've visited a few new parks and the kids love meeting up every week. I usually wind up bringing them by myself which is scary, but doable. I've also had 'help' in the form of my future sister in law, who has been so helpful to me. (Thanks, Dee)
I didn't really have a set 'plan' for the summer. The kids have gotten to do some fun stuff. They went to the 'Please Touch Museum' with my cousin, Jack's Godmother, Jordan. (I have pics, I just have to get them up.) We just did the Land of Make-Believe (which will get it's own post). We are finally getting to the beach this weekend. They've been in our pool a ton. We are heading to a zoo and Wild West City in the upcoming weeks. So, I'd call it a pretty good summer.
I love the summer. And, I really am trying to focus on enjoying it with the kids. Before we know it, the leaves will change color and the tan lines will begin to fade and these fun times will be just a memory. So, let's live it up Baby Budesheims. Let's enjoy the last month of summer!!
