Alex-8 months

Stop. Just stop. The growing has got to slow down a tad. Simmer down, bud.

Okay, I know. You can't slow it down, but, can we pretend you aren't 8 months old? 8 months!

Month 7 into month 8 was a busy time for you! Let's take a look, shall we?

As far as height and weight, we will have to wait till your 9 month appointment. I will say, for the record that you are a BIG boy.

You crawl now. Mostly the army crawl, but the real crawling has been happening. Also, you tried to climb the stairs, and if I stand you up, you just stand there, happy as a damn clam.

We used a food net for a couple of weeks. You loved it. I hated it. So, therefore, we don't use it anymore. You now chew! You chew anything I put in front of you. Blueberries, melon, peas, zucchini, cheerios, puffs...you name it. I'm still avoiding all orange foods, since that seems to be what you react to. However, you reacted to watermelon, too, so the orange food theory may be totally wrong. I don't care, still no more orange until your allergy test. Your face has been looking WONDERFUL, so leaving out those trigger foods (or what I think are trigger foods) seems to be the right thing.

You sleep like a champ still. 2 naps a day, 10-11 hours through the night.

You're eating 36 ounces of formula a day, sometimes less, never more.

You drink water from a sippy cup! I tried to give you formula from the cup, as well, and you wanted nothing to do with it. Good. Babies drink from bottles.

You are entering 9-12 month clothing. Bad news, you don't have any! So, you spend a lot of time in just a onesie, or a diaper. We are going shopping soon, bud. It's okay, though, because you are at your happiest NAKED (in just a diaper). You would be naked all day, every day if I allowed it! You actually CRY when I dress you!

You are SUCH a Mama's boy! I love it!

Everything is funny to you. You laugh, this maniacal laugh all. of. the. time. It's awesome.

You have 6 teeth now! You've handled teething very gracefully...thank you.

I guess that's it for now. You are the happiest baby I've ever met. The cutest little boy named Alex that I've ever given birth to. The easiest, the chillest, the "smiliest"...
