The Beach and the Proposal

I think at this point, we all know how much I love the beach.  Having only been there 1 time this year, I was anxious to get there again.  We tried out 7 Presidents Beach for the first time, and we will never go to another beach ever again.  7 Presidents is clean, and gorgeous and there is a playground right by the beach for the kids to play on.  It wasn't too crowded, but it was a warm day, so there were quite a few people there.

This day was going to be special because any day that we get to do fun stuff with the kids is pretty special.  But there was another reason this day would be special.  My brother was going to propose to his longtime girlfriend on this particular day at the beach.  As luck would have it, they decided to come to the same beach as us, so I got to see it happen!  We all were in on the secret...except for Laur...and you have no idea how huge that is for Laur is "unsurpriseable".  So, for it to actually be a surprise made it that much more special.

I tried not to stare and stalk them, but I was too excited.  I think I behaved myself, though.  I secretly snapped pics of them, in hopes that I would catch the "moment"...and as luck would have it...Well, let's just look at my day in pics, shall we?

There they are.  This was the start of our day.  They were there having some portraits taken.

Love!

I have no idea how I did this, but I love it!

We left the beach shortly after this and went and had lunch with the newly engaged couple.  What an awesome day.  I'm so thankful that I got to be a part of their day.  I love you both, Joe and Laur.  I can't wait to be a part of your big day.  I wish you both nothing but love and happiness. <3
