The Final Countdown
Boxes still unpacked. Rooms look like they threw up and are in various states of progress. And here I sit.
35 weeks, 1 day pregnant. I feel like I've been pregnant forever, all while feeling like the past 35 weeks have flown by. In August, I gave Emma a list of things as a countdown until baby got here. The list was, "Jack starts school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Emma's 4th Birthday, Christmas, Baby". Her 4th birthday is this Monday. I've entered a state of panic, disbelief and.... relief. The contractions and cramping that I've been experiencing since my 15th week is getting old. That activity has picked up since the move; I feel like I'm contracting more often than not. Not fun. But, par for the course, I suppose.
So, here I sit, preparing another countdown for little Miss Emma. Birthday, finish getting the house situated, pray I make it to my section date. I would love to go into labor, as I don't think I can hang much longer, but if I do, it throws off months of meticulous planning of time off and Christmas plans.
So, for now, we just roll with the punches, contracting and cramping, and trying to get work done around the house. I know, it IS as hilarious as it sounds.
Worth it. Totally worth it. It always is. Love you, my babes.
Try bending over to sweep the floor with a watermelon in your shirt...
