Alex- 30 months

The blog will be jumbled for a while, with a lot of back and forth, in effort to catch up and get all of summer written about.   I'm going to start with Al's appointment yesterday.

Al, you are 2 and a half!  How did this happen?

Our biggest development is the fact that you're potty trained.  Thank goodness! You are my second earliest potty trainer and you did it so well.  You also did it your own way.  No treats,  no potty seats,  no nothing.  You made it very easy, so thank you!

You still nap during the day and sleep wonderfully all night.   You have (almost) always been a great sleeper and I hope you continue to be.

Your vocabulary has increased and you speak so well.  Even the doctor commented on how well you're speaking.   We have full conversations, and almost everyone can understand you (not just those who speak Alex.)

You love to help me do stuff around the house.  Setting the table, cleaning up, etc. You just love it.

However, not as much as you love to help Daddy.  Actually none of us compare to Daddy.   You light up when you see him and you literally follow his footsteps in hopes to help him out.

Your favorite show is PawPatrol.  You're obsessed with trucks and dinosaurs.  Instead of cuddly toys, you sleep with a toy hammer.  You are very much a stereotypical boy.

Your behavior, which has always been more than stereotypical boy, is still a concern, but I will say that I've seen a change in you.   Since you're more verbal, we can talk about things more than before and you seem to truly understand what I'm saying to you.   We still have our moments, but they are getting more manageable.

You're seemingly growing out of your food allergies which makes me happier than you'll ever know.  Your food challenge on December will let us know.

You're in the 90% for height,and 97% for weight.  You're a tank.

I'm intrigued by all odd my children. I often wonder what they will morph into. But, Alex has me most curious.   He's already given me a run for my money and I don't see that stopping anytime soon.  Only time will tell the story of Alex, and I just know it's going to be a great one.

I love you,  Big Al.  My baby.  My love.  You're truly a delight.
