Jack's Kindergarten Graduation

On Tuesday, June 25, The Boy graduated kindergarten.  It was an awesome ceremony.

He was unable to keep it a secret that he was the first kid who would speak during the ceremony, and that he would lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

He did so well, and didn't seem nervous at all.  I was so proud.

Receiving his certificate from the student teacher, Ms. Danielle.  He LOVED Ms. Danielle, talked about her often.

There was a portion of the show where each of the kids came to center stage, introduced themselves, and then said what they wanted to be when they grow up.  Quite a few of the kids wanted to be dentists (ew) and police officers (yay).  Then it was Jack's turn...  He said, "My name is Jack Budesheim, and when I grow up, I want to work with my Daddy because I love him." You can hear on the video that everyone said "Awwwwww".  It was such a special moment, and yes, I cried.

They did a few more skits and that was that.  My baby boy completed Kindergarten.  I can hardly believe it.

Al was seemingly proud of his big brother.  Can you tell?

Jack, my Dude, my Boo, I'm SO proud of you.  When you switched schools back in November, I was unsure of how you would fare for the rest of the school year.  The first month was rough for you, Dude, but boy did you bounce back and excel.  You jumped 3 reading levels since December, and you exceeded your reading expectations for the year.  You've made friends, and you've done so well, and I'm so impressed with you.  You've handled yourself with grace and you took what was dealt and you rocked it.  I love you, and I'm so proud of you....Mr. First Grader.
