My hands
I have so many posts that I have to write about the kids, but for some reason, all that is on my mind these days are my hands.
Yup, my hands. Have you seen them?

They are...weird.
It's unknown whether or not I was born with these weird...um...unique...hands. Oh, and I never noticed. neither did my parents. I was getting my hair done for my Aunt's wedding when I was 9 and the person doing my hair pointed it out. I remember my Mom asked my pediatrician and he claimed I was '1 in 3000' people in the world with these hands, but he never did give us a name for it.
In looking at old pictures of me, it looks as if my hands may have been normal. This would squash the early and popular theory that mywei unique hands were a birth defect caused by a drug that my mother took for morning sickness when she was pregnant with me. If in fact I was born with normal hands, there is still a chance that one of my kids could develop the weirdness...uniqueness...and be one of my people!
I've tried googling it. "Pointer finger longer than middle finger" doesn't yield much information. I think I may have found a few threads on random message boards, from people who claim to be like me, but the threads are old so I'm sure responding now would be pointless.
You may wonder if these dorky digits have given me issues in life. Well, yes. There is the constant "hey Lee, let me see your hands!!" or "hey Lee, show so and so your hands!" Typing with the proper fingers (home row) is difficult. I can't snap. Also, giving the middle finger is more insulting to me than it is to the person I'm giving it to. I sure am popular at parties, though.
So yeah. My hands. That's what I felt like posting about. You're welcome.
